E. Underpromoting yourself

Don’t be too shy; it is important to promote your business offering on occasion. Of course, if you wind up only sharing other people’s messages and content, but never add in enough words about your own work; then you can imagine what to expect. Maintain a delicate balance between sharing other people’s content, and promoting your own.

F. Not proofreading through content before sharing it out.

Make sure you proof read through the content that you have created or are recommending to your audience - before you click on the share button. Since your channel’s reputation will in part be based upon furnishing high-quality information; you should avoid sharing a post that would diminish it in the eyes of your audience.

Building up a nice sized audience on social media is a long-term strategy and will take time, creativity, and effort. However, it’s time well spent; if done properly. By working through or around the common mistakes listed above; then your social will only continue to blossom.
