How to use the Trash Manager in Joomla

This tutorial assumes you are already logged in to your Joomla admin panel

Deleted articles are sent to the trash manager where you can either delete them completely or restore them

First let's see how to delete an article

1) Go to Content

 

 

2) Then click Article Manager

  

3) Click the checkboxes next to the articles you want to delete


 

4) Then click Trash

 

 

Now go to the Trash Manager

 

5) Click Content

 

 

6) Then Article Trash

  

7) To restore an article, select the box


 

Scroll right

 

8) Click Restore

 

9) Click Restore

 

 

10) Click OK to confirm


 

The restored articles have now returned to their original places but are unpublished

 

Let's delete the remaining article below


Scroll right

 

11) Click Delete


12) Click Delete again


The article has now been permanently deleted from the database and cannot be recovered

 

Let's see how to re-publish the article we restored earlier

 

13) Go to Content


14) And click Article Manager

 

15) Select the restored article


16) Click Publish
