How to log in to Joomla as the default administrator Print

This tutorial assumes you already have your Joomla administration login page open in your browser

If this is your first time logging in as the root administrator, the default username is admin

1) Enter the password you created during installation

2) Click Login

 

You are now logged in to Joomla as admin

 

You may wish to change your password after installation or on occasion to increase security

 

3) Select admin from the list of logged in users

4) Enter a new password and verify it

5) Click Save when finished

 

Once you are done in the admin control panel, you will need to logout

 

6) Click Logout
