How to synchronize your server's time and set its time zone using WHM

This tutorial will show you how to synchronize your server's time to that of a designated time server. You'll also find out how to change the time zone your server is set to use.

If your server is configured correctly, your time should never get out of sync. On rare occasions, it can happen. Note that it's impossible to synchronize time on a VDS. This can only be done from the host server by your provider.

1) Start by going to Server Time, which is located in the Server Configuration category.

2) Simply click Sync Time with Time Server and the process will be complete.

As you can see, our time was correct already. If it had been off, though, it would now be correct.

Now, let's change the time zone.

3) Return to the same page.

4) Select a new time zone from the list.

5) Click Change TimeZone to finish.

The time zone has been changed. Let's verify.

The Current Time now shows the abbreviated name of the time zone we chose.

This is the end of the tutorial. You now know how to synchronize your server's time and set its time zone using WHM.
