How to change the server's main shared IP address in WHM

In some cases, you might want the accounts on your server that don't have dedicated IP addresses to share an IP address other than the server's main IP. WHM lets you change the main shared IP to any of those currently assigned to your server. If you haven't added any extra IPs to your server, view the previous tutorial to find out how.

1) Let's get started. Under Server Configuration, go to Basic cPanel/WHM Setup.

2) Change the Main Shared Virtual Host IP to any IP address currently set up on your server.

Note that the server's main IP will not be changed. Only the IP shared across all accounts without dedicated IPs will change.

3) Click Save.

This completes the tutorial. You now know how to change your server's main shared IP address in WHM.
