How to open a support ticket (and what to include)

Guide from Getting started — written for Canadian customers. Billing always in CAD.

Getting started

We’re Canadian-owned support — chat, ticket, and phone. Tickets keep a written trail when something needs the sysadmin team.

Open a ticket

  1. Log in to https://4goodhosting.com/billing2/clientarea.php.
  2. Open Support → Open Ticket (or Submit Ticket).
  3. Choose the department (Billing vs Technical) and the related service when asked.
  4. Write a clear subject (“WordPress white screen after plugin update on example.ca”).

Prefer a quick question while you’re in cPanel? Use Live chat from the site header.

Phone: 1-866-708-4678 (24/7).

What to include (saves hours)

  • Domain name and whether the problem is site, email, DNS, or billing
  • When it started and what changed (deploy, plugin, DNS edit)
  • Exact error text or a screenshot
  • Steps you already tried
  • For email: sending and receiving addresses, approximate time (with timezone), and whether webmail works
  • For downtime: does it fail for everyone or only on your network?

Please don’t

  • Paste passwords in the ticket body if you can avoid it (we have tools to reset securely).
  • Open duplicates for the same issue — reply on the same ticket instead.

Related

  • Network status before deep DNS/mail digging: billing Network Status
  • Unblock my IP
