How do I transfer a domain to 4GoodHosting?

You can move an existing domain’s registration to 4GoodHosting so renewals and DNS live in one Canadian billing account.

Before you start

1. Confirm the domain is eligible (not within 60 days of registration or a previous transfer in many cases; not expired).
2. At the current registrar: unlock the domain and get the EPP / auth code.
3. Turn off privacy temporarily if your registrar requires it for transfer.
4. Have access to the admin contact email (you may get an approval email).

Start the transfer with us

1. Log in to billing or use Domain Transfer on our site.
2. Enter the domain and auth code and complete checkout.
3. Approve any emails from the old registrar or registry.
4. Wait for the transfer to complete (often several days; you will get confirmation).

Hosting can stay on 4GoodHosting the whole time if nameservers already point to us. Transferring the registration is separate from moving website files.
