How do I transfer a domain to 4GoodHosting? Print

You can move an existing domain's registration to 4GoodHosting so everything is managed in one place. Transferring the registration is separate from hosting – your website can be hosted here either way.

Before you start

• The domain must be at least 60 days old and not have been transferred in the previous 60 days (a registry rule).
• At your current registrar: unlock the domain and get its EPP / authorization code.
• Make sure the domain's administrative email is one you can access, and temporarily turn off WHOIS privacy if it blocks the auth code or approval email.

Start the transfer

1. Go to our domain transfer page at https://4goodhosting.com/billing2/cart.php?a=add&domain=transfer.
2. Enter your domain name, then the EPP/authorization code when prompted.
3. Complete checkout. For most domain types a transfer also adds a one-year renewal.
4. Watch for a confirmation email from your current registrar and approve it – this speeds the transfer up.
