How do I point my domain to 4GoodHosting?

Guide from Domains & DNS — written for Canadian customers. Billing always in CAD.

Domains & DNS

For your website and email to use 4GoodHosting, the domain must use our nameservers. Set all four:

  • ns1.4goodhosting.com
  • ns2.4goodhosting.com
  • ns3.4goodhosting.com
  • ns4.4goodhosting.com

Domain registered elsewhere (GoDaddy, Namecheap, etc.)

  1. Log in where you manage the domain.
  2. Find Nameservers (sometimes under DNS).
  3. Choose custom nameservers and enter the four hosts above.
  4. Save.

Domain registered with 4GoodHosting

  1. Log in to https://4goodhosting.com/billing2/clientarea.php.
  2. Domains → My Domains → manage (wrench) icon.
  3. Open Nameservers, enter the four hosts, save.

To edit individual records instead, use DNS Management.

How long does it take?

Usually a few hours; up to about 24 hours worldwide while DNS propagates.

To preview the site before DNS finishes, ask support for the temporary URL or IP instructions in your welcome email.
