How to reboot your VPS (SolusVM)

Guide from VPS & servers β€” written for Canadian customers. Billing always in CAD.

VPS & servers

VPS customers manage power and reinstalls from our SolusVM control panel:

https://solusvm.4goodhosting.com/

Note: Older knowledgebase articles mentioning Virtuozzo Power Panel (VZPP) are obsolete. Use SolusVM unless your welcome email says otherwise.

  1. Open https://solusvm.4goodhosting.com/.
  2. Sign in with the VPS control-panel username and password from your welcome email (this is not always the same as billing or cPanel).
  3. If you cannot log in, reset from the SolusVM login page or open a ticket from billing.

Reboot / shutdown / boot

  1. Select your VPS in the list.
  2. Use Reboot for a normal restart. Other controls may include Boot, Shutdown, or Power off.
  3. Wait until the status shows online again before logging into WHM, cPanel, or SSH.

Prefer a graceful reboot from inside the OS (sudo reboot) when you have SSH and the VM is healthy; use SolusVM when the OS is hung.

Console (VNC)

If the network is up but SSH or cPanel will not load, open Console or VNC from SolusVM to reach a login screen and fix the network or firewall.

cPanel/WHM on the VPS

Many Linux VPS plans include optional cPanel/WHM. After the VM is running:

  • WHM: https://your-server-ip:2087
  • cPanel: https://your-server-ip:2083

Root/WHM passwords are separate from SolusVM β€” see your welcome email.
