I have given my web designer FTP access, but he has advised me that he also needs to be able to have a MySQL login (or some other method of creating a database and permissions).

Create a MySQL User for the Web Designer

Steps (in your 4GoodHosting cPanel):

1. Login to cPanel

2. Go to MySQL Databases

3. Under "Create New Database", create a new database (e.g., designer_db)

4. Under "Add New User", create a MySQL user for the designer

   • Example: designer_user + strong password

5. Add User to Database

   • Choose the database and the user you just created

   • Click Add

6. Set Privileges

   • Give them All Privileges or limit to SELECT/INSERT/UPDATE based on needs
