🔒 Using BoxTrapper (Anti-Spam Email Verification Tool)

BoxTrapper helps filter spam by only allowing approved senders to contact you. You can whitelist trusted contacts or blacklist unwanted senders.

Steps to Access BoxTrapper in 4GoodHosting:

  1. Log in to cPanel at: yourdomain.com/cpanel

  2. Under the Email section, click on BoxTrapper.

  3. Choose the email account you want to manage.

  4. Click "Edit White/Blacklist/Ignore List".

 Add to Whitelist:

Allow trusted email addresses or domains to bypass verification.

  • Add individual addresses:

    example@trustedsource.com
  • Use wildcards for entire domains:

    *@trustedsource.com

Add to Blacklist:

Block spam or malicious emails from reaching your inbox.

  • Block a specific sender:

    scammer@spam.com
  • Block all from a domain:

    *@spam.com

💤 Ignore List:

Messages are silently deleted with no verification request or response.

Using Email Filters for Whitelisting or Blacklisting (Optional)

For more control (like auto-forwarding, discarding, moving to folders):

  1. In cPanel, go to:

    • Email Filters for specific accounts

    • Global Email Filters for all accounts

  2. Click Create a New Filter

  3. Example:

    To Whitelist:

    • Rule: "From" equals client@trusted.com

    • Action: "Deliver to folder" → Inbox

    To Blacklist:

    • Rule: "From" contains scammer@bad.com

    • Action: "Discard message"
