Can I access my secure pages as https://www.mydomain.com/ Print

Yes – once an SSL certificate is installed for your domain, your site is available securely at https://www.yourdomain.com with a padlock in the browser. A dedicated IP address is not required.

How to get set up

  1. Choose and order a certificate. We offer Domain Validated (DV), Organization Validated (OV), and Extended Validation (EV) certificates, including Wildcard and Multi-Domain / UC options. Browse and order at https://4goodhosting.com/billing2/index.php/store/ssl-certificates, or contact our support team for help choosing.
  2. Complete validation. For a DV certificate you confirm control of the domain (usually by email or a DNS/file check). OV and EV certificates also verify your organization.
  3. Installation. Once the certificate is issued, we install it on your hosting for you.
  4. Force HTTPS. In cPanel open Domains and turn on Force HTTPS Redirect so visitors always use the secure version. WordPress sites should also set the site address to https:// under Settings > General.

To confirm it is working, visit https://www.yourdomain.com and check for the padlock. If you need any help ordering or installing a certificate, open a ticket at https://4goodhosting.com/support/.
